What is AATHP?

AATHP represents the Alberta Association of Travel Health Professionals. We are a professional association open to those with an interest in travel health. We were incorporated as a society in 1997.

Who is AATHP?

AATHP was formed in 1996. It consists of an executive committee from across Alberta.

The Annual General Meeting, including elections, is part of our annual conference usually held in June of each year.

Our society is comprised of an executive committee of nine members representing individuals from across the province who actively work in the field of travel medicine and public health.

What are our Objectives?

To provide professional support to travel health providers.

improve access to information
improve methods of communication among providers of pre/post travel health services
provide annual conference
promote continuous education
raise awareness of travel clinic services among travel agents, the public and health regions
develop provincial standards for provision of pre/post travel health services

Monthly teleconferences enable us to strive to meet our goal and objectives.

Membership Information

Membership in AATHP is open to any health professional who is directly involved in providing travel health services and who wishes to participate in the activities of the association. We welcome members from across the country.

Fee: There is an annual fee of $60.

To become a member, simply print out an application form and mail it in with a cheque payable to: Alberta Association of Travel Health Professionals.
